I’ve struggled with this.
This notion of spending one year focusing on just one word.
It’s time.
This is the year.
2013!
I will be…
I will be intentional about finding the joy in the moment, no matter how messy.
There will be intentional moments of taking thoughts captive. (I predict oh-so-many of these).
Reflection will be intentional, too.
Intentional time choices, media choices, and food choices.
And in the end?
Well, I have no idea! We’ll just have to wait and see, won’t we?
After all, I believe Hellen Keller had it exactly right. “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all!”.
And with God at the helm, it is sure to be exactly that.
Join me, won’t you? An adventure is so much more fun with friends.
I found you on The Lettered Cottage! Great word. Great. Best of luck in 2013.
Thank you for the visit!
That’s a good one! I’m not there yet (the choosing a word thing)…but I love hearing about what other people are doing/learning. 🙂
Me too – it inspires me, for sure!
Oh friend…this was my word last year!
It’s a tall order, believe me.
Trust it takes you as far as it took me. or further. (although I have to warn you, some of it hurt)!! I need to blog my recap sometime soon….
hoping to chat with you this next week at #FMFParty!
Really?!? That makes the word sound both daunting and exciting. So far, I’m off to a shaky start – but hanging on to God’s goodness in everything. Looking forward to #FMFParty (assuming I can force myself to stay up that late. ha)
What a cool quote from Hellen Keller, and like you said, “With God at the helm, it is sure to be exactly that.” An adventure! I love that you want to live this next adventurous season intentionally! And though my word is joy, it’s definitely a word that can’t be lived without intention. So I’m right with you, living intentionally this year! Thanks for being a shining light here on the web! I love knowing you, Missy! Blessings.
Oh, thank you my friend! I am grateful for the accountability our little online community provides. 🙂
What a great word…I’m still trying to be very intentional about my thoughts…picking one word for 2013…one isn’t coming as easily as it did my first year (2012)….Wishing you a happy and very intentional word and adventure 🙂
Thanks so much Dolly! I’m praying for the ability to do this moment by moment. And I’m hoping your word comes to you as you pursue your goal!
What a lovely word! It’s quite a big word but it can be used in so many little ways. Cheers!
It surely can be used big and small, both. Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for visiting my little blog, Missy! Intentionality is so key. To me the opposite seems to be letting life just happen to you…can’t imagine how chaotic and crazy that could be. Hope you find it works for you in a big way this year!
Thanks so much for the visit and encouragement, Lisa!
Intentional..that’s a huge word! It’s awesome in fact. It will b e cool to see how it goes. Thanks for your comment on my blog! Blessings there!
Thanks so much for stopping by Alexis! A big word, indeed! God help me. Literally.
I can use some intention in my 2013 too. Good word. I look forward to seeing how it plays it over the next year.
