It’s Five Minute Friday time for me again and I couldn’t be happier. This is where we join Lisa-Jo Baker every Friday and spend 5 minutes writing on a one word prompt. That’s 5 minutes without editing or over thinking. Consider joining in the fun and camaraderie that this beautiful community of writers provide, won’t you?
Today’s prompt is: DIVE
GO…
Without air provided by my snorkel, or my tank, I am unable. Unable to breathe underwater. Unable to experience all that was created by the Creator under the waves that beckon. And I want to. I so want to slip underneath those waves and discover all that there is to see. Every brilliantly hued living thing making it’s home under the sea.
It’s often like this when I am embarking on a new adventure. Often, this new adventure is heralded by some prompting in my spirit by God. Something nudges me towards discovery. And I want to dive right into it.
The sense that mystery and beauty await is almost tangible. I just know in my heart of hearts that all will be well with my soul. My heart will thump wildly before I take that first breath and plummet.
And once I’m down, down deep into the waters, whether they’re the waters of A Grand New Adventure or the actual waters of The Deep Blue Sea, I am amazed. And awed. And reminded why it’s always okay to trust in my Creator for my very breath.
And to dive right in.
